My Navy Years - A Retrospective
My wife did a compilation of pictures from my Navy days, 1982 - 1986. It really took me back.
Gifts like this one are very special because they come from the heart. The video was put together by my brother in law - who does this for a living (Click Here to check out his site). If you’re looking for an extra special gift for a loved one, I can highly recommend this!
Watch the video below. Caution - a few “finger gestures” are scattered throughout the video, along with some party pictures. But there’s no nudity. I would guess this would be a PG-13 video.
Enjoy!
Oh, a disclaimer of sorts…some video quality was sacrificed in order to reduce the file size for streaming. It was huge! When you get the DVD, it’s top quality in both video and audio.

Mike,
I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Kudos to your wife for putting it together and your brother-in-law making it happen. It’s definitely a bit of history and a keepsake for all times.
I am thankful to see that our boys in blue maintain the freedom to drink lots of beer. I am also glad to see how you have been able to maintain your boyish good looks.
Happy Birthday Mike.
John
PS The ‘finger gesture’, is that like some kind of naval salute.

HI Mike,
Great video. I was in the navy from 1972 to 1975. I went to boot at Great Lakes too. During boot, they asked me if I wanted east coast or west coast. I chose east coast. Didn’t know they were talking about Spain. I spent most of my time in the Med.

Hi Mike,
Happy Birthday.
I liked the video. I seemed to have noticed a couple of UFO’s in a couple of the pictures. I could be imagining this though. The pictures went by very fast.

Happy belated to you Mike.
What a great gift. Don’t think you will be able to top that.
I felt as if I just met Michael the man as opposed to the marketer.
It’s good to know you, if only a little.
Congrats to the wife on a job well done.

Wow, I thought being in the navy was some kinda career, you know, defend against the bad guys. Looks like it was a four year party!
You and your buddies put a big dent in the world supply of Bud, good on ya, someones gotta drink that crap or there would be a world surplus instead!
And although I can’t prove it, it did seem like there was something other than tobacco being smoked there by some folks. (Not you)
Anyway, I’m just jealous for two reasons, one, you’re always gonna be younger than me, and two, your navy days looked a hell of a lot more fun that my British Army days.
Anyway, great vid, great memories. Thanks for sharing something personal with us all
P.S. Hope to see you at http://jvhotspot/jv when it opens for the new year. Get in contact sometime,
Cheers, Bruce
